This is what I knew
A small, big city hardware shop selling merchandise on Amazon as an affiliate needed to get out on its own and capitalize on the surge in new ecommerce sites – or lose business. Without a cohesive brand or a platform of their own, they had no way to reach their own customers.
This is what I did
Tasked with creating an e-commerce website for a brand that didn’t exist, to reach customers we didn’t yet know, I brought in early white hat SEO support and fused it with a newly designed look and feel that was relatable in its ‘aw-shucks’ accessibility. After adding an effective series of email marketing campaigns designed to garner user-generated DIY content, we saw the customer email list grow by over 120%.
This is how well it worked
Our mobile ads supported a first-generation responsive design, and initial sales almost overwhelmed the team. Working quickly with designers, developers and shop owners, I led the project to an early completion and overshot conversion goals by 21% – with revenue nearing six figures at the end of the first month.
